The fashionable Bond Street, Europe’s most expensive retail location, which runs between Oxford Street and Piccadilly in London. The southern section (pictured above) is known as Old Bond Street.
Bond Street is mentioned in Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway, and Suzanna Clarke’s Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell- which you simply MUST read, not that you asked. Bond Street also features the interesting statue “Allies”, a bronze representation of Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt engaging in convivial chat on a park bench. I know you have been desperately seeking a post from me for the past three days and I do apologise. But guess what I have been doing!!! GUESS GUESS GUESS okay, sorry. I’ve been planning my holiday to England in April EEEEEEEEEEE!! I have the hotel in London reserved, and a cottage in East Dean **great excitement ensues** Hopefully I will stay out of trouble this time, but I kinda doubt it.
