A close-up view of Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, England. Lincoln College is situated on Turl Street in Central Oxford, backing onto Brasenose College and adjacent to Exeter College. It was founded in 1427 by Richard Fleming, Bishop of Lincoln, to combat the despicable Lollard teachings of John Wyclif and apparently this worked. I say this because no one knows these Lollard teachings NOW, do they? Well, I do not; perhaps you are a scholar in such excruciatingly dull important matters.
Dr Seuss, whose actual name was Theodor Geisel, attended Lincoln College, which is the ninth oldest college at Oxford; and that is all the trivia I know. (EricP2 on flickr)
