St James’s Square in London, May. This is my favourite of all the lovely lovely London squares; and has fabulous Georgian and neo-Georgian architecture. The fellow on the equestrian statue in the middle of the garden is William III, if you’re interested. It is still William III even if you aren’t interested, actually.
In addition to St James’s Square there is a St James’s Street, which runs from Piccadilly down to St James’s Palace, and aStJames’s Park WHICH IS UTTERLY GORGEOUS by Buckingham Palace; and all of these lie within the AREA known as St James’s in central London.
