Doorway to the central courtyard of Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucestershire, England. Gloucester Cathedral originated in 678 or 679 with an abbey dedicated to St. Peter (dissolved by King Henry VIII). The Cathedral consists of a Norman nucleus with additions in every style of Gothic Architecture.
