ANYWAY, Warrington is a town in Cheshire, England, on the banks of the River Mersey. This Palladian mansion (built 1750) was originally called Bank Hall and was a private residence, but now serves as the Warrington Town Hall.
The gates were shown at the International Exhibition in London in 1862 and commissioned as a gift for Queen Victoria, but she was displeased and rather rudely refused them. (Tony Worrall Foto on flickr)
